Os indicados para o 22º Prêmio da Escolha dos Críticos (Critics´ Choice) foram anunciados hoje, com a HBO na liderança entre as todas as redes, com 22 indicações no total. ABC e Netflix empatados em segundo com 14 indicações cada um e o canal FX, graças ao sucesso de O Povo versus O.J. Simpson, ficou em 4º lugar com 12 indicações.
A um mês da realização da premiação, a cerimônia já foi afetada negativamente graças à decisão da Associação dos Jornalistas de dar apenas para as revistas Entertainment Weekly e People o acesso exclusivo das indicações. Vários jornalistas pediram demissão da Associação em protesto. O total de demissões chega a aproximadamente 15% do total dos membros da associação. Desta forma, os indicados deste ano foram selecionados por uma comissão menor que nos anos anteriores.
A premiação será ao vivo no canal A&E em 11 de Dezembro, às 20h00 horário de Nova York e 23h00 horário de Brasília.
