Haven, with Natasha Richardson (2001)

TV movie based on the true story of a woman named Ruth Gruber who travels to Europe to help escort 1000 Jewish War victims to the United States. She comes to love and feel sorry for them all, and fights for their rights to live in America.
This movie is based on the book of the same name, by Ruth Gruber, of a woman who worked for the Secretary of the Interior.

Widows' Peak (1994)

1934. Mrs. Edwina Broome (Natasha Richardson) has just moved into the neighborhood known as "Widows' Peak", so called due to the prevalent marital status of the residents, who tend to be a rather exclusive bunch. The residents are all curious about their new neighbor, but no one can seem to get much information about her, including Queen bee Mrs. Doyle-Counihan (Dame Joan Plowright), whose son is busy wooing Edwina. Miss Katherine O'Hare. (Mia Farrow) and Edwina have an immediate dislike for each other, however, and soon some accidental encounters begin to look like Edwina is trying to ruin her new rival. The problems escalate and the town is in an uproar, but they get no closer to solving the mystery of the newcomer.

Ano de 1934. Edwina Broome (Natasha Richardson) acabou de mudar para uma vilarejo, conhecido como "Widows' Peak", assim chamado devido ao status marital prevalecente das moradoras viúvas, que tendem a ser um turma exclusiva. As residente ficam sempre curiosas a respeito das novas moradoras, mas ninguém consegue saber muita informação sobre Edwina, mesmo a Sra. Doyle-Counihan (Joan Plowright), cujo filho se ocupa em galantear Edwina. Katherine O´Hare (Mia Farrow) e Edwina têm uma antipatia entre si e logo alguns encontros acidentais começam a aparentar que Edwina esteja tentando arruinar a sua rival. Os problemas crescem e a cidade está em polvorosa, mas eles não conseguem chegar perto de resolver o mistério da recém chegada.
